Are you a:- ‘Start Up’ Business / Established Business?
Have You Accessed Any of the Many Grant Funding Schemes Available?
You’ve probably read a lot in the Business press about ‘Business Link’ and other sources of funding available to both new ‘Start Up’ Businesses and also to more established Businesses. I realised some time ago that it is extremely difficult to keep ‘up to speed’ with the various funding schemes available! … it varies from area to area … even from town to town!
One source of funding I am very happy to suggest is NBSL (Northumberland Business Service Ltd). Under the ‘Train to Gain’ scheme. NBSL have up to £1,000 per applicant available to fund attendance at Training Courses / Workshops, plus ongoing 1:1 coaching / mentoring / training. For eligible applicants, the recently revised contract that NBSL have just won is for senior managers within Companies employing at least one employee. The aim of the support is to develop strategic thinking, effective communication and leadership styles and qualities, with the overall objective of achieving growth through a more motivated and skilled workforce. You must match the funding £ for £ with the same amount (up to £1,000) so effectively you can utilise up to £2,000 of help in developing your Business for half that cost. The application process is very easy, and succesful applicants have a contract within 2 – 3 weeks of the initial contact with NBSL. The funds are released within 30 days of completion of the project … couldn’t be easier! … Contact NBSL on Click Here or phone

There is no definitive route to take when considering applying for grant funding … in my local area (North East Of England) recent grants have included:-
Darlington … Grants of up to £3,000 available for developing websites and improving their use of IT
Hartlepool Enterprise Development Fund have a variety of grants of up to £10,000 available to all types of Businesses for expansion projects … there is also a ‘Womens Development Fund’ which will contribute up to £500 for advertising and publicity to promote your new Business, and even a ‘Business Security Grant’ of up to £2,500 available to pay for the installation of security equipment!
Middlesbrough … have grants available for Companies if they open new units and take on board an employee …
All of the above funds have ‘strings attached’ and strict criteria to meet, but the list goes on! … Whilst Business Link should arguably be the ‘first stop’ for applying for Business advice and Grant Funding, some of the dozens of other more ‘Local’ funding grants from Borough Councils could be easier to obtain …
Why am I telling you this? … Because funding for Developing Marketing Plans / Attendance at Marketing Courses / ongoing Marketing advice may also be available from these various sources! … contact me to learn more!
